Kaena Point Hike, Jan 2007:
Rach, Jeff and I went hiking on MLK day out to the western-most point of Oahu,
Kaena Point. The point is very dry (being the leeward side), and the hike sticks
mostly to what's left of the old sugar railroad. One part of the trail has fallen
away, but if you can brave that, you'll be rewarded with a sight of the North and
Leeward shores from an albetross nesting ground. Top that with humpback whale
activity in the winter months, and it's quite a nice hike.
Photos taken by Rach as well as me.

People aren't the only visitors
A Police helicopter flew over us just before we took this picture,
making sure people left the Monk seals and other animals alone.
